Re: reports to the Information Commission by the HPA since 1st April 2009
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request dated 15 June 2010 regarding
the number of events that the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported to the
Information Commissioner since April 2009.
Under section 1 (1) (a) of the Act, I can confirm that the HPA does hold the
information you require.
All Public Authorities are obliged to publish the information you have requested
annually. Page 18 of our annual report and accounts 2009 states that the HPA had
no incidents in the report period which fall under the criteria for reporting to the
Information Commissioner’s office.
Our 2010 annual report is due for publication in mid July which covers the time period
you have enquired about. In accordance with the section 22 –
information intended
for future publication exemption, the HPA is not obliged to disclose this information
now. Please refer to our annual report on the HPA webs

published.
