Reporting of War Crimes not being taken seriously

The request was partially successful.

Dear Sirs,

You may consider my request for information to be under the Freedom of Information Act or just simply a question from a concerned Human Being, native to the Country commonly called England (having been born therein), and it being your duty, as a public body, to honourably answer questions about your activities.

Please first read the article on this link:

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/...

Now, the point is this. From the information in that article you will comprehend, I’m sure, that the actions of the U.K. Government, in waging war in Afghanistan and Iraq, causing the deaths of innocent civilians are illegal in law. And they constitute the crimes of genocide and a crime against peace.

Having tried to report this crime at my local police station and being told that crimes could not be reported there, i contacted the number given by the policeman at the desk to report the crime and was fobbed off with "As you didnt witness the crime i.e wasnt in Iraq/Afghanistan at the time) i was wasting my time and was basically told not to call again regarding this matter.

I would like to know exactly how we the british public are to report warcrimes and crimes of treason?

Please also accept this next section as a report of crime which i would like investigated.

The law states that:

'It is an offence against the law of England and Wales for a person to commit genocide, a crime against humanity or a war crime, or to engage in conduct ancillary to such an act. This applies to acts committed in England and Wales or outside the United Kingdom by a U.K. national, resident or person subject to U.K. service jurisdiction.' See:

International Criminal Court Act 2001
http://www.expose-the-system.org/resourc...

'Genocide' means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy in whole or in part a national, ethnical, racial or religious group as such (a) killing members of the group; (b) causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (c) deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part..

Whosoever shall aid, abet, counsel or procure the commission of any indictable offence, whether the same be an offence at common law or by virtue of any Act passed or to be passed, shall be liable to be tried, indicted, and punished as a principal offender.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am still waiting a response on this matter. In the meantime please include this information to my report:

“War is essentially an evil thing. Its consequences are not confined to the belligerent states alone, but affect the whole world. To initiate a war of aggression therefore, is not only an international crime, it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.”

~ Nuremburg War Crimes Tribunal

We have laws against waging war. When Britain signed The General Treaty for the Renunciation of War in 1928, we gave a firm and binding commitment to the world that we would never go to war again. This treaty is still in force, yet Tony Blair and our Government reneged on this treaty and have involved Britain in five wars in eight years.

We have laws against the use of armed force. In 1945 Britain helped to found the United Nations. We pledged with every country in the world that we would never use force against any of them. In 2003 our Government violated that solemn and binding agreement by invading and occupying Iraq and killing thousands of its people.

We have laws against killing people, yet our government have killed at least 50,000 people in six years. None of the victims had committed a crime or attacked Britain, none of them had been allowed to argue their case in court and none of them were shown any mercy before they were massacred. These killings are acts of murder.

We have laws against landmines. Stimulated by Princess Diana, the world agreed never to use landmines again and in 1998 Britain enacted the Landmines Act outlawing the use of anti-personnel explosives. Yet British and American forces dropped over one million cluster bomblets on Iraq in two years, killing and maiming thousands of children.

We have laws against genocide. The International Criminal Court Act 2001 makes it a crime for British residents to commit genocide, crimes against humanity or war crimes. In 2003, 414 MPs ordered an armed attack on Iraq, killing over 20,000 innocent people. This was genocide, the worst crime ever committed by British citizens.

And we have a law against funding genocide . The International Criminal Court Act introduced the crime of ‘conduct ancillary to genocide’. This makes it an offence to aid, abet or assist in an act of genocide. Paying tax assists the Government to commit genocide in Iraq. It is every taxpayer’s duty in law to stop paying tax now.

We have the laws so now we must enforce them. Our Government and Parliament are committing the worst crimes known to mankind and getting away with them, because the Police and Crown Prosecution Service fail to do what they are paid to do. They must arrest and prosecute the 414 MPs who voted in favour of war, with the crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. Criminals must answer for their crimes in court.

Dear Sir or Madam,

By LAW the Metropolitan Police Service were required to reply to my FOI Request by the 19th May 2009, it is now the 27th May 2009 and i am yet to hear from you regarding this matter. It seems a bit ironic that the very people we entrust the LAW of this country to uphold refuse to abide by them, I would like to believe it is just an error on your part and not what i believe to be in that you do not want to deal with the issue that the British governments have and still are committing warcrimes, aided and abetted by the British Taxpayer.

I await your response.

Yours sincerely,

Andrew B

The position of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) supports Government
policy;

The UK should not be a ***safe haven*** for war criminals or those who
commit crimes against humanity. Action should be taken to bring such
individuals to justice wherever possible, within the rule of law and
depending on the sufficiency of available evidence. The UK Government***s
view remains that prosecution is best undertaken in the country in which
the alleged offences have taken place. The UK however remains committed to
help other countries to prosecute offences that take place within their
territory.

The Metropolitan Police Service conducts investigations into war crimes,
crimes against humanity and genocide within the UK, in conjunction with
many partner agencies. However, in some circumstances it may be
appropriate for other UK police services to conduct investigations. For
example, on efficiency grounds if a large number of witnesses are
concentrated in an area outside the metropolitan police district.

These investigations are very challenging and require a high level of
expertise and cooperation from prosecution agencies, Governments and
Non-Government Organisations. The challenges include jurisdictional,
legislative and evidential constraints.

Reporting of War Crimes, Crimes against Humanity and Genocide.

A vast majority of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide that
are investigated by the MPS are referred by both Government and
Non-Government Organisations. The small numbers of allegations made by
individuals are reported by way of a letter addressed to;

Commander SO15
New Scotland Yard
10 Broadway
London
SW1H 0BG.
