Renumeration Panel

The request was successful.

Dear Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council,

I write to ask you for the following information

1) Who is on the Renumeration Panel that decides how much councillors are paid?

2) What qualifies an individual to be on the Renumeration Panel?

3) Do any of the Panel members work for Tameside MBC

4) Do any of the Panel members work for New Charter Housing?

5) Does the Council have the authority to decide to pay councillors less than what the Panel recommend?

On another issue

6) On 6 November 2013, Cllr Lynn Travis charged the taxpayer for train tickets to London. I would like to ask
a) Why the taxpayer should be made to pay for her late arrival (the reason given for the excessive cost)
b) To what end does the conference she visited benefit the people of Tameside?
c) Can a report by Cllr Travis on what was learned at the conference be found?

Yours faithfully,

Mr F Underwood
