Rent and service charges for New Build General Needs social rent homes, from 2007/08 onwards

Please provide data for:

1. The number of New Build General Needs Social Rent lets, for each year from 2007/08, until the most recent year for which figures are available, with a total number and a breakdown by LA and PRP, with the number of lets by each number of bedrooms.

2. Mean average rents (exclusive of service charge) for these lets, with breakdowns by LA and PRP, and both together, in each year, and by the number of bedrooms in each case.

3. The number in each category with an Eligible Service Charge payable, with breakdowns by LA and PRP, and both together, in each year, and by the number of bedrooms in each case.

4. The mean average of Eligible Service Charges payable, with breakdowns by LA and PRP, and both together, in each year, and by the number of bedrooms in each case.

5. Please provide the above figures for England, For London, and for England excluding London.

Dear Despatch Box,

Thank you for your reply. However this was not the information that I requested.

I asked for details of New Build social dwellings, but the reply relates to all First lets, stating that

'First lets are defined as first let of newbuild, conversion, rehabilitation or acquired property'.

The economics of New Builds are quite specific and can be very different from conversions, rehabilitations or acquisitions - for example the imputed market value may well be higher.

I would be grateful if you could reply in respect of New Builds only.
