Thank you for your email dated 13 February 2009 in which you have
requested amongst other things, the number of Council owned or rented
properties that are fitted with solar panel. We have considered your
request under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and
apologise for the delay in replying. Below is our response.

The number of council owned or rented homes that are fitted with solar
panels, or passive solar heating technology;

121 flats and 4 Houses have been fitted with Solar Water Heating

The number of council properties other than homes that are fitted with
solar panels or passive solar heating technology

As at 01/04/8 we had 13,997 Council Dwellings deducting the 125
properties would give 13,872 homes.

The percentage of the council's energy consumption that is derived from
renewable sources, and details of the suppliers with whom the council is
contracted to provide that energy.
