Remote Access to Horizon Terminals in Branch
Dear Post Office Limited,In evidence to Sir Wyn Williams this week Anne Chambers has explained how in 2004,2011 and at other times she corrected altered or inserted data into SPM branches remotely. Why in 2015 did PV ask this" "What is the true answer? I hope it is that we know it is not possible and that we are able to explain why that is. I need to say no it is not possible and that we are sure of this because of xxx [sic] and we know this because we had the system assured." What replies did Paula Vennells receive to these questions and who supplied them? What was xxx(sic)?
Yours faithfully,
john o'sullivan

Dear information.rights,
A week is a long time in politics! In July this year you said you would get back to me with an explanation of what Anne Chambers claimed she could do on Horizon when compared to what Paula Vennells said she wanted to say couldnt be accomplished-how is that going?
Yours sincerely,
john o'sullivan
Dear Mr O’Sullivan,
Thank you for your email. Your question, as previously pointed out by the
information rights team, is not a request for recorded information.
The questions that you ask are related to matters being examined by the
independent Inquiry. As we have explained in previous replies to you, it
would not be appropriate to comment on witness evidence outside of the
Inquiry and it is for the Inquiry to independently reach conclusions in
due course on the issues that it is examining.
Kind regards,

Dear externalaffairs,Than you for a reply.POL are committed to cooperating fully with the Inquiry, the odd late document drop not withstanding.Does the Post Office see its role as wait and see what Sir Wynn and his team uncover and attempt to find explanations for or proactively investigate areas of poor practice and offer evidence and detail unasked? What strategy do you expect Fujisu,NFSP and DBT to adopt?
Yours sincerely,
john o'sullivan
