Remembrance Sunday Footage
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Regarding BBC Breakfast - broadcast on Monday 11th November 2019 on BBC One - The BBC has apologised for using an archive clip of Remembrance Sunday in its on-the-day coverage which showed the Prime Minister in a better light (less gaffes) than actually occurred.
Apparently the archive footage of Remembrance Sunday from 2016 was restored to the production system early on Sunday 10th November to preview that Remembrance Day service (2019). It was mistakenly re-used after the service, the following day, on Armistice Day - misrepresenting the actual service.
Please detail how many times in the past 10 years, that archive footage from previous remembrance Sundays were restored to the production system for previews of that day.
Please detail as follows;
Archive from 2005 for 2006 preview,
Archive from 2008 for 2012 preview,
etc
Yours faithfully,
Betty Ramsgate
