Dear Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman,

You disclosed the following remark by a member of staff in 2015:

'Do you remember the names of the individuals from last night who said that they had a positive experience of PHSO? I am keen to ensure that we keep their details as further down the line PHSO may want to ask them if they would like to be involved in another activity going forward.' (p.65)

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

I do not want the name of the individual who made the remark, but I would like to know whether they still work for you. I would also like details of the pay grade the individual was in at the time of the remark. If the individual still works for you and has changed pay grade, please provide details of their new pay band.

Yours faithfully,

Dear InformationRights,

Thank you for your response. You responded:

"Pay is not by grade but by role and is employee specific. The grade of the employee was E2 and this grade is no longer in use."

Clarification sought:

I hadn't reckoned on different grades being used back then and am at a complete loss as to whether E2 equates to a senior or a junior position. Please provide details of all employee grades that existed at the relevant time together with an explanation of what each means.

Yours sincerely,

J Roberts

I didn't think it was a minnow who made the remark. Now I know it wasn't.
