Dear Department for Communities (Northern Ireland),

(A) Under FOI /line of business enquiry , could you provide all correspondence to and from your department in relation to the Charity Commission for NI requesting to move offices to Belfast from January 2017 to January 2018. Please include all equality impact assessments and risk assessments undertaken by the Charity Commission and the Department.

(B) PLease also clarify if your department received any notification from the Charity Commission and/or any other agency, that any member(s) or former member(s) of the Charity Commission have made the Department aware of any relevant risk that may influence a relocation of premises, and if this risk has been officially verified by your Department in conjunction with other agencies.

In question B the Department does not have to be specific, a simple affirmation or denial will suffice in respect of each element of the request for information.

Yours faithfully,

Trevor McKee

Dear Department for Communities (Northern Ireland),

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Communities (Northern Ireland)'s handling of my FOI request 'Relocation of Premises'. The following have become apparent from the response.

Please supply an un-redacted version of the Chief Executives letter. The relocation and alleged threat has been published in the media and online. There is no possible reason to redact this letter.
Please can you confirm if any risk assessment or equality impact assessments were carried out in relation to the CCNI moving to Belfast, or to the alleged threat to a member of staff. This is a reasonable request in the public interest

(B) When did the DFC agree to the move to Belfast with CCNI in December 2017, as reflected in the media report in December 2017, that CCNI would be relocated to Belfast within 6 months, and indeed this was supported by a job advert for a Finance Administrator written on 11th December 2017 by CCNI, which stated on Page 2 and 18, that CCNI would be relocating to Belfast in 2018 (this job was re advertised on the CCNI website at end January 2018 to read on pages 2 and 18, "currently based at 257 Lough Road, lurgan.")

(C) why the DFC, as reported in the media in December 2017, stated that no move would be considered until a Minister was in place, when clearly this was not the case, as shown by (b) above.

(D) if the alleged threat to a member of staff concerned a one person lawful protest in October 2017?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...

Trevor McKee
