Religiously motivated hate crimes
Dear Crown Prosecution Service,
I am seeking information under the Freedom of Information Act (2000) regarding data held by the CPS on religiously motivated hate crime convictions in England and Wales.
Specifically, I am requesting the following information: how many convictions for religiously-motivated hate crimes have there been in England and Wales for each of the past five years, broken down by the perceived religion of the victim (e.g if the hate crime was anti-Semitic in nature, or Islamophobic etc.)?
Any information would be greatly appreciated and please do not hesitate to get in touch if you require any further clarification of the question.
Thank you for your help.
Yours faithfully,
Giada Combusti

Dear Crown Prosecution Service,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Crown Prosecution Service's handling of my FOI request 'Religiously motivated hate crimes'.
1. The CPS has published the total number of reports by the breakdown by religion of victim, presumably this was not done by looking at physical files but looking at a database, the same database must logically follow through with convictions;
2. Please confirm that you have a database which records details of religious and racially motivated convictions for the purpose of complying with human rights monitoring duties;
3. If you cannot do for all the years then please provide for just the last remaining year;
4. Can members of the public have access to the database of convictions.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...
Yours faithfully,
Giada Combusti
