Your request for information, with reference number FOI 2212081273 has now
been considered and the information requested is given below.  

Request and Response

Please provide statistics for the use of RIPA to conduct surveillance for
the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 please.  

Please include the reason for each RIPA authority such as to deal with fly
tipping etc.  

The council has not obtained authorisation for the use of covert
surveillance in 2020, 2021 and to date in 2022. We report on our usage of
these powers at each meeting of the Council's audit committee:-

It should be noted that council has used overt cameras to combat fly
