Foi Responses, Merton Borough Council

Dear Gavin Knox

Freedom of Information Act 2000 / Environmental Information Regulations
2004 Information request

We have now considered your information request as set out below:

You asked:

% of supplier’s invoices paid in 30 days

Response:

LBM monitor’s the volume of invoices that are paid within 30 days of being
received.

Included in the first set of figures are other payments like refunds,
grant etc (excluding housing benefits) as these unfortunately cannot be
stripped out of these reports.

All payments where we have no date recorded on when the invoice was
received by LBM  we use the invoice date and allow 4 days for postage and
this brought the annual percent for 2016 – 2017 year to 76.78%

Non- social care invoices for 2016-2017 the result was 92.89%

Social care invoices for 2016 – 2017 the result was 90.62%

You asked:

Amount of late payment interest paid to suppliers.

Response:

We have no record of any charges of interest actually being made.

You asked:

Amount of late payment interest potentially liable to be paid to suppliers
whether claimed or paid.

Response:
