Dear Birmingham East and North Primary Care Trust (PCT),

What is the total population of this region? From these persons, how many had success to register themselves with a dentist of the NHS?

Dear Birmingham East and North Primary Care Trust (PCT),

It is a very simple question. Please say me the number of people in the area who are registered with a dentist of the NHS. If some people in the area have not registered themself, I did not ask you to especulate why not.

The first part you answered okay.

Yours faithfully,

Pablo Garcia

Dear Pablo

Please see the below response I have received to your further question:

The simple answer is that there are no patients “registered” with a NHS dental practice

Helen,

What?! Of course that they register! Please explain.

Pablo

Dewaine, Helen (Dudley PCT),

Dear Pablo

Please see the below response I have received to your query.

The simple answer is that dental practices do not hold a list of "registered" patients. Practices have to offer the next available appointment to a patient requesting NHS treatment.

Kind regards
