Further to your request for information received at this office on 03 July
2022, I write to advise you that the information that you have requested
is not held by Bolton Council.

You Requested
How many individuals have died with pneumonia listed in 1a/b/c as a cause
of death in 2021 and 2022? How many of those were listed as covid
Pneumonia?

Our Response
In accordance with Section 1 (1) of the Act the Authority has a duty to
confirm whether it holds the information of the description specified in
the request and if that is the case, to have the information communicated
to the requester.

Registration officers and anyone who acts on their behalf in carrying out
statutory registration duties are outside the provisions of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. Superintendent registrars and registrars are not a
public authority as defined in the Act and, therefore, are not subject to
its provisions. Data held by them - including information held in birth /
death / marriage registers is thus not subject to disclosure under the FOI
Act. Therefore this information is not held.

Statistics (ons.gov.uk)
