Dear Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency,

With regard to private motor cars, as at 01/01/2019, 01/01/2018 and 01/01/2017:

1. How many were registered by / at the DVLA and of these:

a. How many were the subject of a valid VED (‘tax’)

b. how many were recorded without a current keeper and

c. of these VRMs without a current keeper, how many were recorded as 'in the trade' i.e. passed to a motor trader and

d. how many had V5C's or queries returned as the keeper was not known at the address

e. what was the status of all others; what reason was there for a lack of current keeper.
