Dear Hertsmere Borough Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Hertsmere Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Register of events attended'.
You have told me you do hold hold the information I have requested and that if the council did hold this information, it would be exempt from disclosure under Section 40(2) and (3A) Freedom of Information Act 2000 since it is personal data, disclosure of which would contravene the data protection principles set out at Article 5 (1) (a) and (b) UK GDPR.
Membership and attendance of South Hertfordshire Business Club events is public information and not personal information as evidenced by Councillor Paul Morris listing South Hertfordshire Business Club in his Register of Interests.
This information is of public interest and if Robert Byng of Wrotham Park Estates and developers such as James Craig from Griggs Homes are mixing with Hertsmere Borough Councillors who are developing our new local plan and get to vote on our new local plan then this is definitely of public interest and not personal interest.
Any selection of Wrotham Park Estate land in Hertsmere's new local plan would put the whole validity of the new local plan at risk, as would the granting of planning permission by HBC for Griggs Homes on Wrotham Park estate land at Cowley Hill Stables
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/r...
Yours faithfully,
Julia Dunsford
