Refuse Disposal during industrial disputes
1. What I want to know is regarding the manager of the "Lisburn Office" has
he got a plan "B" when industrial disputes happen after many complaints a
letter was put up regarding this problem (Not good enough). This problem
needs to be looked at so as a plan can be put in place under "Health and
Safety" as a resident I would like the bins in all "High-rise Flats" to be given
priority when industrial action ends to be the first to be emptied so I ask
what is plan "B"
I am writing to confirm that the Housing Executive has now completed its search
for the information and can advise that the Housing Executive does not hold this
information as a ‘specific plan B’ regarding the emptying of bins in the case of
industrial action does not exist in our records.
However I would advise you while the aforementioned industrial action has
finished the emptying of bins wil always remain the responsibility of Lisburn City
Council as they are tasked with waste management. However we would review
and investigate on a case by case basis if such a matter arose again.
