Under the Freedom Of Information Act I would like to request the following data:
- The number of households who received refuse waste collections in 2018, 2019 and 2020
- The cost of refuse collection operations for financial years 2018 - 2019, 2019 - 2020 and 2020 - 2021
- The percentage of bins missed during refuse collection rounds in 2018, 2019 and 2020

Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 08.30am to 5.00pm and Fridays
08.30am to 4.30pm.

 

In the event of an emergency involving council property or services which
happens outside of our normal opening hours please call our out of hours
team on 01962 865 407 where a list of contacts detailing who may be able
to help is held.

 

We aim to answer most enquiries within 48 hours, however in busy periods
this may take more time. Complex enquiries may need to be referred to a
specialist team and take longer to answer, possibly up to 10 working days,
if this is the case we will contact you to explain what is happening with
your enquiry.

 

If we need more information from you to help us to answer your enquiry we
may contact you by telephone.

 

If your enquiry is urgent please contact us on 01962 840 222 for general
enquiries or 0300 300 0013 for waste, recycling and street care enquiries.

1.    The number of households who received refuse waste collections in:

·         2018 – 51,932

·         2019 – 53,815

·         2020- 54,392

NB: The number of households receiving waste collections is based on the
property count of April each year.

 

2.    The cost of refuse collection operations for financial years:

·         2018 – 2019 - £1,543,000

·         2019 - 2020 - £1,979,000

·         2020 – 2021 - The accounts for 2020-21 are not closed. The costs
can be provided at a later date once the accounts are signed off.

 

3.    The percentage of bins missed during refuse collection rounds:

 

·         2018 – data not available

·         2019 – data not available

·         2020 – 0.04% (1001 missed out of a potential 2,841,084 collected
for the year)
