Title of request: Refuse collection operations costs and missed bins

Dear Michael Newberry,

1.    1)   The number of households who received refuse waste collections
in 2018, 2019 and 2020

2018 – 132,770

2019 – 133,610

2020 – 134,140

2.  2) The cost of refuse collection operations for financial years 2018 -
2019, 2019 - 2020 and 2020 - 2021

 Refuse collection costs (£000’s) for refuse operations only

2018/19 £4,708

2019/20 £4,890

2020/21 £4,890

3. 3)  The percentage of bins missed during refuse collection rounds in
2018, 2019 and 2020

We do not record the percentage of bins missed, but using the calculation
of the number of reported missed domestic waste collections in that year
divided by the total potential collections for households in Sandwell
(household numbers x 52)  the figures are as follows:

2018 = 0.024 %

2019 = 0.035%

2020 = 0.060%

Kind regards
