Could you please provide me with information on areas that have been provided with wheelie bins along with the percentage of homes that do have these bins compared to those that don't and also a frequency of collections of all areas in borough.

Mike Fawcett, Colchester Borough Council

Dear Mr Barry

I am now able to respond to your Freedom of Information request logged on 20th November under reference 346691.

Wheeled bins have been provided in the following Colchester Borough Council wards:

Mile End
Greenstead
Old Heath and The Hythe (excluding The Hythe and Rowhedge)
Shrub End
Stanway
Berechurch

Approximately 15% of households in the Borough currently have wheeled bins.

The frequency of kerbside collections is the same for all areas of the Borough: food waste is collected weekly, other waste and recycling is collected on alternate weeks. Flats with communal bins have weekly collections at present.

If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this request please contact me again quoting the reference given above.

Yours sincerely
