Refusal to offer grant to College Farm Trust, Fitzalan Road, London N3 3PG
Dear The National Lottery Heritage Fund,
Sometime prior to 2012 HLF were approached by the Trustees of College Farm Trust, Fitzalan Road, Finchley, London N3 3PG with a request for funding to carry out extensive remedial works so that the farm could be re-opened to the public.
I understand that initially the application went well but was eventually turned down. I have heard conflicting reasons for this and would like to know the truth of the matter.
I am therefore making a request under the Freedom of Information Act for any information which you may hold relating to the application and its subsequent refusal.
I am the chairman of the Finchley Society, a registered charity, in whose area the farm lies. We have very recently been granted a listing for the farm as an Asset of Community Value in the register held by the London Borough of Barnet, as we are concerned about its future
Yours faithfully,
Michael Crick

Dear Mr Crick
Many thanks for your request for information.
The application from College Farm Trust was rejected in February 2005. I have attached the case paper which is our assessment of the application, and also the decision outcome letter which was sent to the applicant on 22 February 2005. I hope these documents will provide you with the answers you are looking for.
