Dear South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,

Please provide the answer to this freedom of information request:

1) Does South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) provide any complimentary refreshments for staff/management/members of the public (For example, hot drinks, biscuits, etc)?

2) In respect to point 1, if the answer is yes, please provide a comprehensive list of items that SWASFT supply to staff/management/members of the public.

For your convenience, I have listed some of the items that I am interested in. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Teabags
- Coffee
- Sugar
- Sweetener
- Milk (either fresh or UHT)
- Disposable cups & lids
- Hot chocolate
- Stirrers
- Biscuits

3) In respect to point 2, please provide a breakdown of the total amount that the trust has spent on these refreshments in the calendar year 2016. If individual items will be too expensive/time-consuming to calculate, I am happy to receive a grand total for the amount SWASFT has spent on all of the listed items.

Thank you for your request for information regarding Complimentary
Refreshments which we received on 08 February 2017.

 

We will deal with this request in accordance with your right of access to
information we hold under the Freedom of Information Act and I attach a
leaflet containing further information about both your rights and our
obligations under this legislation. You will see from this that we are not
obliged to generate information we do not already hold in order to provide
what we are asked for, such as by collating data or formulating direct
answers to questions, but you are entitled to receive copies of records
(or extracts from them) that contain the information you have requested.

 

We will research the information you have requested and we will respond
providing what we hold no later than 08 March 2017 in accordance with the
timescales set by the Act.

 

We will inform you if:

a) We are unable to provide you with any of the information you have
requested, and explain the reason for this; and

b) Any fee that is payable for the information we are able to provide.

 

In the meantime, if you have any queries or require clarification on any

I refer to our acknowledgement on 09 February 2017 of your request for
information regarding complimentary refreshments under the provisions of
the Freedom of Information Act.  

 

We are aware that  due to the format of our standard FOI response where
the information is tabled as part of the body of an email these can come
out a little strangely on the What Do They Know website so I have also
attached the response in a Word document for your convenience.

 

We are able to provide the following information:

1)   Does South Western Ambulance Service The Trust does not routinely
NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) provide any supply any complimentary
complimentary refreshments for refreshments however they are
staff/management/members of the public provided at some training and
(For example, hot drinks, biscuits, etc)? meeting events. A scheme
operates where £2 per month is
  deducted from all Trust staff,
this money covers the cost of
any refreshments consumed by
staff or meeting visitors.

 

To put these figures in context
the Trust currently employs in
the region of 5000 staff.
2)   In respect to point 1, if the answer Not applicable see Q1
is yes, please provide a comprehensive
list of items that SWASFT supply to  
staff/management/members of the public.

 

For your convenience, I have listed some
of the items that I am interested in.
These include, but are not limited to, the
following:
