Dear Avon and Somerset Constabulary,
Please treat the following as a request for the disclosure of information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I am requesting information about the sharing of information regarding individuals who report having witnessed or been a victim of crime with the National Command and Control Unit of the Home Office.
Please disclose the number of contacts made with the Command and Control Unit of the Home Office by officers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary regarding
1) Witnesses of crime
2) Victims of crime
Please disclose the number of such referrals made monthly, for all of

Our response:
It is our understanding that the Home Office National Command and Control
Unit (CCU) is a service available to police forces or other law
enforcement agencies when they have inquiries relating to the immigration
status of arrested persons.
In regards to your request for referrals made in respect of witnesses and
victims, Avon and Somerset Constabulary is unable to identify any
information in relation to your request.
