Re: Request for information dated 28^th September under the Freedom of
Information Act.

I write in connection with your above request where you asked as follows:-

I am requesting information about the sharing of information regarding
individuals who report having witnessed or been a victim of crime with the
National Command and Control Unit of the Home Office.

Please disclose the number of contacts made with the Command and Control
Unit of the Home Office by officers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary

Our response:

It is our understanding that the Home Office National Command and Control
Unit (CCU) is a service available to police forces or other law
enforcement agencies when they have inquiries relating to the immigration
status of arrested persons.

In regards to your request for referrals made in respect of witnesses and
victims, Avon and Somerset Constabulary is unable to identify any
information in relation to your request.
