Sheila Oliver

Dear Information Commissioner’s Office,

How is my complaint against Stockport Council coming on? I was promised it would be dealt with some months ago.

Apart from being correct about the site being toxic and correct about the school Stockport Council tried to put on unremediated toxic waste being circa £5 million adrift in its funding, it now appears that the Council knew from the outset it wouldn't be able to get asbestos or slowly occurring pollution insurance - why put a school on toxic waste in the first place then?

I asked about the insurance arrangements and they said I was being vexatious. Following the Diane Willman case in the Supreme Court, local authorities are responsible for any cases of mesothelioma contracted in schools. How will the council taxpayer fund this? It could be tens or hundreds of millions of pounds in damages for 550 pupil primary school and 78 babies nursery. When I told them they weren't removing the brown asbestos properly:-

they said you had declared me vexatious, so they wouldn't be responding. They lied to you when they said I was vexatious as they knew the true financial, insurance and contamination situations.

Please could I see all correspondence between Stockport Council and the Information Commission in this regard and please consider taking action against Stockport Council over this case.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Sheila Oliver

Sheila Oliver

Dear Information Commissioner’s Office,

Thank you for your kind and prompt response. I think I will make a data request, as obviously this case regarding the disabling and endangering of children at huge public expense is going to rumble through the courts for decades to come and we need all the documentary evidence of what has been said at what stage by Stockport Council.

Do you, however, have any inkling as to when my case will be decided? I was promised an outcome weeks ago, as I recall.

Yours faithfully,

Sheila Oliver
