Dear Ms Saunders,

Thank you for your request for information, which was received on 3 August.

You requested:

Thank you for granting access to Integra Consulting Report of June 2015 entitled: Phase 1 Geo Environmental Ground Investigation at St John's C of E Primary School, Poplar Street, Heaton Mersey, Stockport.

In said report Integra Consulting recommended to EFA/Eric Wright Construction that Phase 2 and Phase 3 Investigations be carried out on St Johns School Site.

I am writing to request access to said Integra Consulting Phase 2 and Phase 3 Reports carried out for EFA/Eric Wright Construction.

If EFA decided not to follow these recommendations, and decided not to proceed to said Phase 2 and 3 Investigations on St Johns School site, I request access to correspondence pertaining to EFA's decision NOT to proceed with Phase 2/3 Investigations. This correspondence is likely to be between EFA, their Contractor Eric Wright Construction and Integral Consulting.

I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The work to confirm the scope and cost of the works to address the significant condition need at St Johns School is still ongoing and involves: searches to determine whether there are any constraints on the proposed site e.g. easements for utilities; surveys to determine the physical parameters of the site e.g. ground levels, ground conditions, any contamination; and consultation e.g with the local planning authority.

We can confirm that the EFA has not undertaken the Phase 2 and Phase 3 Geo Environmental Ground Investigation. Information relating to the surveys undertaken for this project will be contained within the planning application which will be publically available. If you consider that this FOI request is not fully answered in the planning application then please submit an additional question.

If you have any queries about this letter, please contact me. Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.

If you are unhappy with the way your request has been handled, you should make a complaint to the department by writing to me within two calendar months of the date of this letter. Your complaint will be considered by an independent review panel, who were not involved in the original consideration of your request.

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint to the department you may then contact the Information Commissioner’s Office

Yours sincerely,
