Dan,as far as I know all the red light and yellow gatso cameras in Birmingham have been switched off, profit is the main motive behind the cameras under the pretence of safety.PCC David Jamieson has approved average speed cameras on busy commuter routes, and a few mobile camera vans operated by civilians move around the busy areas where unsuspecting motorists drive at the appropriate speed for the conditions but which exceeds the posted limit (often reduced for no good reason).Sad but true.
