Recyling Depot - trailer restrictions
Dear Gwynedd Council, Can you please clarify why a small twin axle trailer isn't allowed in your recycling depots, whereas twin rear wheeled Luton Vans ( Transit / Mercedes etc) are.
These vehicles have a substantially greater cubic capacity carrying space than small twin wheel trailers.
It's obvious a small twin axle trailer can't carry anywhere near the volume of these Luton box vans - the prevention of entry for a twin wheel trailer would entail three four or five trips with waste materials inside one's car.
I thought / know Gwynedd Council has a carbon reduction policy, surely to allow one trip instead of three or four would conform to Cyngor Gwynedd's own policy, and this should apply across the board to all departments.
Does the Cyngor Gwynedd carbon reduction policy still apply or are single trips by well meaning locals with their small twin axle trailer to the recyling depot exempt from this policy ?
Why can high waste capacity "Luton" vans with twin rear wheels be allowed to dispose of eight or more times the volume of my small twin axle trailer ? ( if I was allowed access)
I add that I'm not a commercial user of your depots -
Yours faithfully, Diolch GK Jones
