Dear Mr. Millar

Freedom of Information Enquiry: DEV0575BF3

Thank you for your information request dated 20/08/2018.

I am happy to supply you with the information you requested.

Dear Mr Wilson

The materials collected from the blue bin are bulked at Stirling Council's
Waste Transfer Station at Lower Polmaise before being hauled to ReGen's
Materials Recovery Facility in Ireland for sorting-

The sorted materials are then baled or bulked before being transferred to
a reprocessing facility  -
[2]http://www.regenwaste.com/processed-outp...  In July 49.64
tonnes of mixed plastic was collected and sold for reprocessing to two
different companies- Monoworld and Roydon.  The outlet will change
depending upon where the best price for that material can be obtained on
the material markets.

ReGen won Clackmannanshire Council's contract for the haulage, sorting and
treatment of the mixed dry recyclate collected from the blue bins.  We
receive monthly reports on the composition analysis and the number of
tonnes of the different material streams collected, which we have to
report to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency each year, together
with the end destinations of the different materials collected.

Yours sincerely

Gillian Wilson
