delay in short listing candidates for interview? The post was advertised
in June this year.
4) Will short listing be completed at all?
5) When will applicants be notified of the outcome of their
applications?
We have dealt with your request in accordance with your ‘right to know’
under section 1(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), which
entitles you to be provided with a copy of any information ‘held’ by a
public authority, unless an appropriate exemption applies.
Under Section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act (2000) the College
can confirm that it holds the information you have requested. The
responses have been provided below.
1) How many external applications have been received, indicate
applicants age/gender.
The College received 14 external applications comprising of 10 female and
4 male.
The candidates fall into the following age brackets. Please note, one
applicant did not provide a date of birth.

The College received no internal applications.
3) Please explain precisely why there appears to be a considerable
delay in short listing candidates for interview? The post was advertised
in June this year.
The post closed on Friday 27^th June 2014. All post advertised at this
time are held for shortlisting in mid-August following the return of
academic staff from annual leave to make up panels. The HOS requested this
post be held pending confirmation of enrolment numbers for the new
academic year 2014/15. HR have now been advised that enrolment numbers for
2014/15 decreased and the post is to remain on hold pending curriculum
planning review in the New Year.
4) Will short listing be completed at all?
This will depend on whether the confirmation is received to proceed with
the post. If the post is to proceed shortlisting will take place.
5) When will applicants be notified of the outcome of their
applications?
Applicants will now be notified that this post is on hold pending a review
in the New Year.
