Recruitment of Consultants

We're waiting for john goddard to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Leeds City Council,

How much has the Council spent in each of the past 5 years employing external consultants?

What is the total number of external consultants currently contracted to work for the Council?

For each of the consultant currently contracted to work for the Council, please provide the following information:

When did their contract start and what is the anticipated end date?
What work have they been asked to undertaking and why has it been necessary to hire an external consultant to undertake the work rather than using an existing employee?
What is the remit of the post? Please provide a copy of the terms of reference and or a copy of the job description and person specification for the post?
How much are they being paid per day?
What other expenses are being paid?
What is the anticipated total cost to the Council of contracting the particular consultant to undertake work for the full duration of their contract?
Who authorised the expenditure?
Was a tendering process undertaken? If so, which Council employees were involved in this process? Also please provide a copy of the tender.
What recruitment process took place and what are the names and role titles of the officers and Council members involved?
Who does the consultant report to?
Which if any Council/s has the particular consultant previously worked for?
Has the consultant ever worked with the Chief Executive or any member of the senior management team at the Council or any other Council? If so, what are their names and roles titles of the officers and who was their employer at the time?

many thanks
