Freedom of Information request

Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000, which was received by the Council
on 07/03/2022 14:44 . Please find the information requested as follows:

 1. How many British Muslim employees have you recruited? Please provide
figures for every year since 2010.

We are unable to disclose the exact number of British Muslim employees
as the council considers this to be personal data and is therefore
seeking to rely on the exemption at Section 40(2) of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. Personal data of a third party is exempt under
section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 if its disclosure
to a member of the public would contravene one or more of the data
protection principles. Processing in this context includes disclosure.

We can, however, confirm that fewer than 10 British Muslim employees
have been recruited since 2010.

2. What is the average length of service?

No British Muslim employees have left the council, therefore we are
unable to calculate the length of service.

3. How many British Muslims have you employed in communications/media
roles since 2010?

None.
