Information Act 2000:

 1. How many British Muslim employees have you recruited? Please provide
figures for every year since 2010.

Please find below the University’s recruitment figures for the last seven
academic years. Data is not held in relation to the years 2010-2015.
Please note that this data relates to those staff members who have
declared their religion and, therefore, does not include any who have
selected “prefer not to say”.

2015/16: 9

2016/17: 6

2017/18: 5

2018/19: 7

2019/20: 6

2020/21: 9

2021/22: 14

 2. What is the average length of service?

4.26 years.

 3. How many British Muslims have you employed in communications/media
roles since 2010?

We have interpreted “communications/media roles” to mean any role in the
Communications and Recruitment Directorate or any academic role in a Media
setting, e.g. Lecturer in Film. Please note that data is not held for
2010-2015.

2016/17: 2

2017/18: 0

2018/19: 0

2019/20: 0

2020/21: 0

2021/22: 2
