FOI (KING'S COLLEGE HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST), King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Dear Ms Rabyah,

Further to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the
Act) dated Tuesday 18 January 2022, I am writing to confirm the
information that the Trust does and does not hold.

The text of your request is repeated below in bold, followed by the
Trust’s response.

Request and Response

1.       How many British Muslim employees have you recruited? Please
provide figures for every year since 2010.

Please note: The information below is taken from a starters list in the
Trust’s Electronic Staff Record (ESR).  ESR holds a nationality and
religion field that allows us to identify those who are British and
Muslim. There can be instances where either field can be blank, or a
staff member does not wish to disclose information.  In this instance we
cannot confirm or deny if these individuals are both British and Muslim.
The figures supplied below are those where both categories have been
completed.

Please note: To calculate the length of service, a start date and an end

categories are available. As active members  of staff do not have an end
date we are unable to include them in the average length of service data.

3.       How many British Muslims have you employed in
communications/media roles since 2010?

media team, the publications and patient information team and web teams
etc. all fall under the Corporate Communications department. From the
dates specified, we do not have any members of staff from the background
requested working within that department. We do have members of staff who
work within a different area of communications under ‘information and
communication technology’ which have been provided below.
