Thank you for your request for information dated 16 May 2017 and received on 16 May 2017 concerning Abingdon and Witney College.

This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

You asked this question of the College on 11 January 2017. On 2 February 2017 I replied asking you to clarify two things related to your request. You did not provide us with clarification, though I invited it on two occasions. Your request made on 16 May asks exactly the same question, so I have exactly the same points of clarification. I have tried here to explain in a different way what clarification we need, and invite you to advise us further.

1. The College accumulates data by whole months, so would not be able to respond with a year's data from 16 May. Please could you confirm that information related to the period 1 May 2016 - 30 April 2017 fulfils your need?

2. It is difficult for us to interpret what you mean by "etc." Please tell me what sort of expenditure you would like us to include, in relation to permanent recruits, in addition to training.

Until we receive clarification, the College will consider this information request to be suspended. The 20 working days to respond will commence when we receive your clarification.

Thank you for your request for an Internal Review of your FOI request, received by Abingdon & Witney College on 16 May 2017. Following Internal Review, the decision communicated to you on 30 March 2017 has been overturned. I provide below responses to your questions.

We are withholding some of the information you requested as we consider that the exemptions in the section 43 apply. It remains the case that we are unable to interpret what information you seek with respect to the term “etc”, so have provided information related solely to training.
