A parent has the right to record, openly or covertly, as they are exempt under restrictions of the Data Protection Act.

It is unlawful to discourage or forbid them to do so under the Prevention From Harassment Act Section 1 (1A) and therefore a criminal offence.

An act, policy or practice to discourage or deny is unlawful both for the organisation and the person doing it.
