Reconsider the delay to the second PFIZER vaccine dose

The request was successful.

Dear The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation,

Please reconsider your advice to delay the 2nd dose Pfizer vaccine.

I have contacted Pfizer BioNTech and they say the safety and efficacy of the vaccine has not been evaluated on different dosing schedules as the majority of the trial participants received the second dose within the window specified in the study design. THERE IS NO DATA TO DEMONSTRATE THAT PROTECTION AFTER THE FIRST DOSE IS SUSTAINED AFTER 21DAYS.

You are putting the high risk/priority groups at increased risk -is a quote from Professor John Robertson of Nottingham University.

Why are you playing roulette with our lives?

If you have extra evidence on which you based your decision please provide it

Yours faithfully,

Mrs Sandra Chalk
