Receipts from Central Hill 2019 - 2020
Dear Lambeth Borough Council,
Please could you inform me of how much money has been received from the Central Hill Estate from rent and service charge and any other income in the financial year 2019 - 2020?
Could you break it down into overall total, social rent, private rent, service charge and any other income (specified)?
Please could you inform me into which account/pot of money did this revenue go into?
Yours faithfully,
Sabine Mairey

Good Morning
We apologise for the delay in providing the following response:-
Rent and service charge income
The table below is the billable income received by the Council from the
Central Hill Estate for the 2019-20 financial year. All the monies were
paid into the Housing Revenue Account.
Tenant charges
Annual Annual Leaseholder's total service
Annual total existing depooled charge, including ground rent Overall total
rent billed service service and management fees
charges charges
billed billed
£1,238,984 £18,603 £123,141 £224,768 £1,605,496
Annual existing service charges covers items such as heating & hot water
and door entry systems.
Annual depooled service charges covers items such as caretaking, grounds
maintenance and estate cleaning.
Other Income
In accordance with a September 2018 Cabinet Member Delegated Decision
([1]CMDD) some of the homes, which have been bought back from leaseholders
in preparation for re-development of the estate, are let at open market

The council does not have the rental income net of costs for the financial
year 2019/20 broken down by estate. However, the total across all six
estates, which includes Central Hill, was £369,000.
We hope this information is of assistance
Kind regards

Dear Lambeth Borough Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Lambeth Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Receipts from Central Hill 2019 - 2020'.
I thank you for your delayed response to my foi. However, I do not understand the layout of this information. Please could you put the amount under each title as I feel the table has not copied and pasted well. In addition, please could you specify the following:
Do the properties that have been bought back by the council and had their leases dissolved, contribute through Service Charges or otherwise to the maintenance of the estate? If yes, how much?
