Reasons for lack of public participation

Paul Waller made this Freedom of Information request to Warwickshire Police

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Warwickshire Police should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Warwickshire Police,

Let me quote from your web page - http://www.safer-neighbourhoods.co.uk/yo...

"Help us help you introduction
by Sasha — last modified 17 April 2009 03:22 PM

One of the fundamental roles of each Safer Neighbourhood Team is the protection of our communities; this means the reduction and detection of offences, which cause harm within our neighbourhoods. But to be effective we need the help of everyone living, working or passing through our neighbourhoods. In this section you will find links to information and appeals, which you may be able to help us to help you.

Tell us your concerns and priorities. There are many ways in which you can do this, either by phone or email and opportunities to meet us are detailed on our calendar. Simply go to the calendar section and click on the highlighted dates. Details of the location and who you will meet are provided."

Your calendar of events of the Rugby Rural South Safer Neighbourhood Team from January 2009 to June 2010 inclusive shows ZERO entries.
1. Is this because there were no events or meetings with the public?
2. Is this because Warwickshire Police have neglected to maintain the contents of this public calendar.
3. Is maintenance of this public calendar of events and meetings mandated for in any way? If so identify the relevant record for this and quote in full.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Waller
