Thank you for your information enquiry of the above reference number. Due to the nature of your request, it has been dealt with under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

I can confirm that with effect from 1 April 2019, the Council has paid the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £9.07. This will increase to £9.34 with effect from 1 April 2020. South Ayrshire Council applies the Scottish Local Government Living Wage for all its workforce, regardless of length or type of contract. For any post which attracts an hourly rate of less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage, the difference is paid as a pay supplement.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request you can ask for a review.
