re-writing existing planning permissions

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Swindon Borough Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Monday 19 January 2009 -

How many times have planning officers re-written planning conditions on existing planning permissions (making material changes) since 2005?

Such changes may have been made when a new application for a change of condition is made to an existing planning permission.

How many times have the planning committee passed such re-written planning applications?

Yours faithfully,

K. Lacey

Dear Ceri Stephens,

I have received a postal reply from Rob Jones the Senior Planning Officer stating that his department does not hold statistical information about rewriting planning conditions and he invites me to check the planning files in Swindon Borough Council myself to discover this information.

I think Swindon Borough Council should have procedures in place to ensure legal compliance of planning permissions written by planning officers and subsequently passed by Borough Councillors.

Yours sincerely,

K.Lacey
