Re: Wartime Broadcasting Service - Communication Aspects
Dear Cabinet Office,
I refer to the National Archives reference HO 322/1216, entitled Wartime Broadcasting Service (WTBS): communications aspects. The Archives state that the data is being held by the Cabinet Office rather than the Home Office under section 3.4, which allows you to retain the data for continued administrative use or for reasons that it contains sensitive material.
As the WTBS no longer exists in effect, the data should no longer be considered sensitive, nor is it maintained for administrative use. I therefore request, pursuant to FOIA that the data referred to at the link below be released.

Dear FOI Team Mailbox,
Thank you for providing an update in regard to my request relating to the Communication Aspects of the WTBS. I am somewhat confused as to the extension you have placed, yet again. I would ask you to review the extension you have requested urgently as this is now long overdue, and in 95% of cases, a response could have been issued by now.
Yours sincerely,
Matthew J. Ramsden

Dear FOI Team Mailbox,
Thank you for the confirmation of extension. By the time it’ll take you to respond, I could’ve taken a job with FOI and fulfilled my own request.
Now, I’m willing to put this down to Covid-19 pressures. If you continue to extend, I will forward to the ICO for using the statute to delay requests beyond a reasonable time permitted by the statute.
I understand and respect the request you are dealing with, and the contents of it, however the delays I am experiencing do not tally with the tests and assessments you need to undertake.
Yours sincerely,
Matthew J. Ramsden
