Re : Tier-2 COS Data ref : FOI 29829

Peter Kellard made this Freedom of Information request to Home Office

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Daniela,

Further to the data provided for the above request.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...

I would like to be able to identify whether a cos occupation is on the shortage occupation list or not. Can you modify your extract to include the field 'Is the job on the current Shortage Occupation List?' and if possible run the extract for the period from the end of 2008 up to 31/12/2013 or if that is not currently possible from the end of 2008 to the end of June 2013 as before.

Regards

Peter Kellard

NEYH, Freedom of Information,

Dear Mr Kellard,

In response to your enquiry of 19 January, please see the information
below.  This has been handled routinely outside of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.

The information we hold regarding shortage occupations falls under Tier 2
(General) and not Intra-Company Transfers (ICT), as previously requested.
Under Tier 2 ICT, the sponsor is not required to identify whether the
occupation is on the shortage occupation list.

The data we hold regarding Tier 2 applications is split under 3
categories:

Intra-company Transfer (ICT)

Resident Labout market Test (RLMT)

Shortage occupation

An individual Certification of Sponsorship (CoS) can only be requested
under one of these categories, as such a CoS requested under ICT would not
also be a Shortage Occupation or RLMT.

The information you have requested is therefore not held.

I hope this is of help to you.

Kind regards

Daniela Walker
