You asked for the name of the officer in the Legal Services Department who
had instructed the Barrister. This was Neeraj Sharma. You requested: “2. I
would like you to provide me with copies of the Court Orders. If you can
inform me the amount of Money which have to be paid where you can send me
by Email Attachment.” In answer to your request, the Council relies on the
exemption in: Section 32(1) of the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA). The
Council is not obliged to provide information contained in a court record
by virtue of section 32(1) (c) of the FOIA. Section 32 (1) exempts
information contained in certain litigation documents and court, tribunal
and enquiry records. The information you are seeking is contained in the
court documents which were created by the court, or a member of the
administrative staff of the court. The terms of this exemption in the FOIA
mean that we do not have to consider whether or not it would be in the
