Dear Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge,
It would be wonderful if you could provide the following information for any re-applicants for the Natural Sciences Tripos, at Gonville and Caius, between 2015 and the current application cycle.
c) Number of A* A Levels
d) Average UMS Score
e) Average Natural Science Admissions Assessment Scores
f) Any commonalities in the way successful re-applicants spend their gap year
I am aware that the college may not be able to differentiate between those applicants who were previously rejected and are re-applying, and those applicants who are applying for the first time after receiving A Level grades. If such is the case, it would still be wonderful if you could provide the information above for any post-A Level applicants.
I respond to your questions as below.
There is no information for periods before the most recently completed application cycle, in accordance with our data retention policies.
a) The formal response is: no information. Outside the formality of FOI legislation, I offer the explanation that this is not information the college prepares; also that the college would interview any post-A level candidate who achieved the standard offer of A*A*A in relevant subjects.
b) 0-5. I respond in that manner because of the requirement in relation to anonymisation.
c) 0-5. I respond in that manner because of the requirement in relation to anonymisation.
d) No information
e) Maths - 5.47; Biology - 4.8; Chemistry - 6.63; Biology 1 - 13; Biology 2 - 10; Chemistry 1 - 14.67; Chemistry 2 - 17
