Dear King’s College, Cambridge,
It would be wonderful if you could provide the following information for any re-applicants for the Natural Sciences Tripos, at King's, between 2015 and the current application cycle.
c) Number of A* A Levels
d) Average UMS Score
e) Average Natural Science Admissions Assessment Scores
f) Any commonalities in the way successful re-applicants spend their gap year
I am aware that the college may not be able to differentiate between those applicants who were previously rejected and are re-applying, and those applicants who are applying for the first time after receiving A Level grades. If such is the case, it would still be wonderful if you could provide the information above for any post-A Level applicants.
Dear Edward Hammond,
This is in reply to your enquiry received by the College on 21 January and
made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). I can confirm that
the College does not hold the information you requested. We only keep
unsuccessful applicant files for a year.
It may interest you to know that we do not record whether an applicant has
applied before. We treat each application as a new application.
If you have further questions please ask me in the first instance. I
attach a leaflet outlining the College's FOI Act policies and procedures.
If, after following those procedures you are still not satisfied with the
way in which your request has been dealt with you may apply directly to
the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the Commissioner
will not entertain your complaint unless you have exhausted any relevant
internal review procedures.
