[   NB The figure given covers both academic and support roles.  Due to
the volume of recruitment and number of senior appointments involved, it
was much higher than the figure for 2015/16 will be.  The figure for
2015/16 (ie year ending 31 July 2016) is currently £26,296.]

 

Agency fees:               £0.00

Agency used:              N/A

 

Transfer fees:             £7,032.15 + VAT

Training:                     There were no training costs for new staff.

I have been asked by our HR staff to write to you concerning your recent
FOI Request relating to our spend on permanent recruitment over the last
12 months (split by advertising, agency, transfer fees and training,
etc.).

 

As a University, all our records are held by academic year (ie 1 August –
31 July).  I am informed that extracting relevant information for the
period from 1 June 2015 to 31 May 2016 would prove very time-consuming. 
As we have only a small HR Department, they wondered whether you would be
willing to accept information for the academic year instead (either
2014/15 or 2015/16).  The year 2014/15 is the last complete year for which
we hold information as the current academic year (2015/16) will not finish
until 31 July.
