RCOG.Hysteroscopy, Best Practice in Outpatient (Green-top Guideline No. 59)

The request was successful.

Dear City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust,
1How have you implemented these guidelines specifically it is important that women are offered, from the outset, the choice of having the procedure performed as a day case procedure under general or regional anaesthetic. 2 If not what is you basis for ignoring the RCOG

Yours faithfully,

Dean Hough

Further to your email.  I can advise that department offers hysteroscopy
as a day case under general anaesthesia in main theatres or local
anaesthesia in Office Gynaecology. Attached is the Trust’s patient
information leaflet for this procedure.
Kind regards.

Dear FOI (RLN) City Hospital Sunderland,
I ASKED HOW . your response is no way exceptionable and i asked specifically it is important that women are offered, from the outset, the choice of having the procedure performed as a day case procedure under general or regional anaesthetic. because the RSOG has added the statement made from the BSGE to the guidelines . your leaflet make no mention of anaesthesia choice so can not be taken as a response in any way i am realy disappointed in your hospital to answer a simple request

Yours sincerely,

Dean Hough
