Raw Data/Statistics for Bakerloo London Underground Line

The request was refused by Transport for London.

Dear Transport for London,

Good Day,

My Name is Heather and I am a 4th year Industrial Engineering student at Dalhousie University in Canada. I am currently in a course in Simulations in Industrial engineering.

I am currently working on a project to simulate the Bakerloo line of the London Underground. My professor would like us to determine the optimal number of trains and starting points required to handle loads on any day, with a focus on Sundays.

My group has done quite a bit of research and we have found some reports from the government of London about the counts of passengers, downtimes and performances of trains per station. However, we need more data to make our model accurate. We would like to ask if you could provide us with any additional information or data on the following for the Bakerloo line:

-Hourly average number of passengers (Arrival rates)
- Total average number of trains that currently run per line per hour per day of the week
- Average reliability of trains or cars per line per line per hour per day of the week
-Time between stations
-Load and unload times for trains - data on AEI time (Access Egress Interchange). Not just average time but raw data
-Time to repair a car when it fails

Where there is raw data, it would be more beneficial as we need to estimate the distribution of the data.

Our project is due on March 18th, and we also understand the constraints on your part with time and data availability. Any information that you could give us at your earliest possible convenience would be helpful.

Thank you so much in advance for your assistance. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Yours faithfully,

Heather
