Dear Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Rampton Secure Hospital Polices'.
In response to my request for a list of Policies concerning Rampton Secure Hospital, the Trust has sought to rely on Section 24 (1) of the Freedom of information Act 2000 so as to exempt disclosure.
This is a misunderstanding of the legislation and its remit to activities carried out by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust at Rampton Secure Hospital.
It is quite reasonable and proper that information concerning a NHS Hospital be made available to the public; furthermore, each of the other High Secure Care institutions have published and made available their equivalent policies. One question is then, what differentiates Rampton in this respect such that Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust believes it is exempted from publishing publicly funded hospital polices?
Please be advised of the correct operation of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the
legislative intent underpinning its enactment.

Dear Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Admissions Policies Rampton High Secure Hospital'.
The response provided states that: "The Trust does not hold an Admissions Policy for Rampton High Secure Hospital".
This is that case; the following Admissions Policy is well documented in the sectorial literature:
Rampton Hospital (2014). Admissions Process & Guidelines. Nottingham: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
In response to this obvious error, prior to submitting a request for Review, I submitted a further information request to the Trust asking for a list of the Trusts Policies concerning Rampton Secure Hospital. The formal response, dated 17/04/2013, erroneously seeks to rely on Section 24 (1) of the Freedom of information Act 2000 so as to exempt disclosure.
This is obviously a misunderstanding of the legislation and its remit to the operation of Rampton
