Rainbow Badge Accreditation

Thank you for your request for information as detailed below (if I have
misunderstood any part of your request, please let me know as soon as
possible, otherwise I shall continue to retrieve the information as
outlined):

I understand the Trust is engaged in the NHS Rainbow Badge project and is
seeking accreditation with regard to this.

Please could you tell me:

1) What organisation will be doing the accreditation/benchmarking.

2) What guidelines have been given relating to what goals it has been
suggested should be attained in order to achieve a positive benchmark.

3) Please supply all hospital policies that have been supplied to the
accrediting organisation for assessment and any that have been changed in
relation to this assessment (These should include HR policies as well as
any related to patient care etc) and also any action plan related to the
accreditation.

4) Please could you explain how the scoring/assessment will be carried
out, including any materials supplied by the organisation in relation to
this in order for the hospital to prepare for the assessment.

5) Please could you explain what benefits the hospital expects to gain
from a positive benchmark.

6) How much the organisation doing the assessment will charge for this
service 7. Any other fees paid to this organisation over the last year,
2021-2022 8. Any costs related to achieving "Rainbow Badge" status,
including all branded materials supplied and used, to include rainbow
badges and lanyards issued to staff, flags, rainbow painting of road
crossings, rainbow road signs at the road crossings and any other branded
signage.

Your request was received on 9^th June 2022, and I am dealing with it
under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please be advised
the NHS is under considerable pressure dealing with the current pandemic
outbreak of Covid – 19.  Many administrative staff are being asked to work
from home or are being retrained to undertake other roles to help support
areas affected by the virus. The Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust will
provide the response to your request at the earliest opportunity.

Please consider whether your request is appropriate at this time, if not
consider withdrawing it and asking again when things return to a normal
footing. This will further help us concentrate on delivering care to our
community in Cornwall.

In some circumstances a fee may be payable and if that is the case, I will
let you know. A fees notice will be issued to you, and you will be
required to pay before I will proceed to deal with your request.

You will receive the information requested within 20 working days unless
the Royal Cornwall Hospital does not hold the information or there is a
reason for it to be withheld. I will write to you in any event.

If you have any requirements regarding the format any information should
be supplied in, e.g., the language to be used, audio, large print and so
on, then please let me know.
